"The Telecaster is a more powerful invention than the AK-47." - Alex Harvey

General Kofi Annan.
Former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan shows an AK-47 assault rifle that has been transformed into an electric guitar.

You can't hold a gun and play guitar at the same time. So if everyone played guitar there would be world peace.

"Free guitar tips + tabs" is an educational website that features Blues guitar. As legends go, many famous blues players were said to possess powerful mojos given to them from a variety of sources. These sources could include a fellow blues man, witch doctor or the devil himself. The mojo itself could be just about anything, from a bag full of "magic powder" to a rabbit's foot. It was simply a lucky charm that they believed gave them that "magic touch" when it came to playing blues guitar. "Free guitar tips + tabs" is designed to be your "MOJO". Now, I'm not going to send you a bag full of "magic powder", but I will give you free instant access to the tricks of the trade via the Home page. Let's face it; You don't know what you don't know.

Free? What's the catch? There's no catch. The site is a "hobby" project and not a commercial undertaking. Since launch in 1998, it's provided tens of thousands of people with free guitar playing tips. No data about the pages you read here is stored or recorded, other than by general web analytics software of the type you probably use on your own sites (although the analytics used does not contact third parties like Google or Yahoo).

The worst you're ever going to see is a few ads or a donate button. If you want to give something back, feel free to comment on the Forum, submit some feedback, link to the site or tell your friends. And no complaining if something doesn't work properly, although you're encouraged to report bugs.

The secret to my guitar playing success is Voodoo. I went down to the crossroads at midnight when out from the shadows stepped Lucifer the devil himself. He took my guitar, tuned it, played a hot lick and then handed it back to me. I sold my soul for Rock 'n' Roll. But hey, you can learn to play the guitar the easy way and still keep your soul by contacting me for guitar tuition! ;)
